INDUCTION

Induction programmes for B.Ed. courses at CMS College of Education began on September 7 and lasted until September 16. During this time, we were introduced to some seminars, workshops, and cultural events, which helped us in mingling with the peer group and adapting to the new environment. As a part of induction, a seminar was facilitated on September 11 on the topic of child development by Smt. Kumutha R, Assistant Professor, Department of Social Work at CMS College of Arts and Science. She gave us more information regarding children and their behaviour, and she made the seminar interesting through various games and activities. On September 12, the TLM workshop was conducted by the Agastya Volunteering Program. We were introduced to various simple techniques for teaching children, and they also taught us different crafts using simple and affordable materials like ice cream sticks, rubber bands, etc.
To inculcate socialisation and confidence skills among students, my college conducted various cultural activities, including extempore speech, singing, dancing, and recitation during induction.
